Jeff Bezos Returns from Space
Texas | Billionaire Jeff Bezos went to space on the Blue Origin’s NewShepard Space Craft.
New Shepard spacecraft built by Bezos’s company Blue Origin, became the first passenger spacecraft, carrying 4 passengers including Bezos, his younger brother, Wally Funk, from the Dallas area, one of 13 female pilots who went through the same tests as NASA’s and Oliver Daemen, a last-minute fill-in for the mystery winner of a $28 million auction. The launch took place from Bezos’ private launch site near Van Horn, Texas, and the flight lasted about 10 minutes. All the passengers experienced weightlessness for several minutes.
Blue Origin , founded by Bezos in 2000 in Kent, Washington, near Amazon’s Seattle headquarters. Two more passenger flights are planned by year’s end, said Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith.
